Panama City Beach (November 15, 2011) – On Thursday, December 15 the Beach Chamber's Navigator committee is hosting a Lunch & Learn workshop, "The Brand Called You," held at FSU PC's Holley Academic Center from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. This session will be given by Jack Kerigan of Kerigan Marketing; it is presented by Southwest Airlines and co-sponsored by FSU PC, Gulf Coast State College and the Small Business Development Center.

In this workshop, Kerigan will explain that every person is an individual "brand." Small businesses – even employees – need to find unique niches and deliver value, and those are the ones that are successful, get hired, get promoted, etc. "It's not enough to be the best at what you do; you've got to be the only one that does what you do," is a favorite quote of Kerigan's by Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead.

Kerigan served 12 years with RJR Nabisco's Brand Marketing Group, where he led the customer relationship marketing efforts of the SALEM brand, nationally. He then took the reins of Community Coffee where, as Director of Marketing, he delivered the company's first volume growth in over six years and expanded the brand across the gulf south. He launched Kerigan Marketing Associates in 2000, and has grown the firm into a team of six brand builders focused on the application of effective strategies across design and multi-media marketing channels. Kerigan has won numerous gold ADDYs for his work.

Cost for this workshop is $20 per person for Students and H.Y.P.E. (the Beach Chamber's young professionals group) members; $25 per person for Beach Chamber members; and $35 per person for non-members.
