David Mans is a Backend Software Developer and Cyber Security Analyst with 25 years experience in information technology. After serving in the United States Marine Corps as an Intelligence Analyst and Information Security Manager, he began a career developing software applications for a range of industries such as defense, education, marketing, pharmaceutical, and publishing. David studied Business Administration at Gulf Coast State College and Cyber Security at Norwich University.
David’s development philosophy is that development of software applications should be scalable so it can grow with the customer and that the technology employed should conform to the customer like a tailored suit. While David’s security background is primarily in computer forensics and incident response (where he has responded to over 160 cyber incidents) he strongly advocates that entrepreneurs and small business leaders should be proactive in security education and cyber threat intelligence.
When not at the computer, David enjoys either spending his time cooking or outside with his ducks, chickens, dogs, and most importantly his family. He volunteers in helping others rebuild after Hurricane Michael as well as volunteering and tutoring at Gulf Coast State College and serving on the GCSC Cyber Security Advisory Group. David is a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
