Internet Explorer Bug: What You Need to Know
Published on April 28, 2014 by Kevin Elliot
The world found out today that internet browser Internet Explorer versions 6-11 have a serious bug that can compromise your computer’s security. Before you even finish reading this, if you are using IE, leave it and come back using Chrome or Firefox.
Or, if you insist on using IE, please disable Flash on your computer (the bug comes in through Flash). For more technical solutions, check out this article.
We’ve researched this issue, and here’s the bottom line. Microsoft, as of right now, has no idea how to fix the bug. So, for the foreseeable future, just use another internet browser. You won’t be alone. 55% of web browsing is done on Internet Explorer, but this is not an optional thing. This bug is serious, like Homeland Security serious.
Homeland Security’s U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team says this problem could lead to “the complete compromise” of your computer’s system.
Switch browsers. Now.
